He would have preferred a boy but another delivery would probably kill the woman. After a while he takes up with a stripteaser and leaves his wife. The poor woman tries to win him back and delivers him a son but dies in childbirth. The man, full of remorse, leaves the stripteaser and begins a new life with his children.
